Privacy policy
What this site collects, why, and how to make it stop.
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Who is responsible
This website, SnapCutout (https://snapcutout.com), is run by David, a private individual based in Toledo, Spain. It is not a company and does not sell anything.
Contact for any question about this policy or about your data:contact@snapcutout.com.
2. What data is collected
This site is static and has no user accounts, no logins and no database of readers.
- Nothing, if you only read. Browsing the guides does not require you to provide any personal data.
- Your cookie choice. Stored in your own browser's local storage, not on a server. It records whether you accepted advertising cookies and when.
- Advertising data, if you consent. Google AdSense may then set cookies and process your IP address, device and browsing data to select and measure ads. See section 4.
- Contact messages. If you write via the contact page, the name, email address and message you type are transmitted so that a reply can be sent.
- Server logs. The hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, user agent) for security and to keep the service running.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie preference | Remember your choice so you are not asked on every page | Legitimate interest / strictly necessary | Until you clear it, or 12 months |
| Advertising cookies | Show and measure advertising that funds the site | Your consent (6.1.a), withdrawable at any time | Set by Google; see their policy |
| Contact form content | Read and reply to your message | Your consent (6.1.a) | Deleted once the matter is closed |
| Server access logs | Security, abuse prevention, availability | Legitimate interest (6.1.f) | Per the host's retention period |
4. Advertising and third parties
This site is funded by Google AdSense. Google is an independent controller for the data it processes through its advertising cookies.
- Nothing loads before you decide. The AdSense script is not added to the page until you accept advertising in the cookie banner. Rejecting leaves the site fully usable.
- Google Consent Mode v2 is active. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all set to denied by default and only switch to granted if you accept.
- You can change your mind. The "Cookie settings" link in the footer reopens the banner at any time.
- Google's own terms apply to their processing. SeeHow Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Other third parties involved: the hosting provider, which stores the site files and serves them, and the form provider used by the contact page, which relays your message. No data is sold or shared for any other purpose.
5. International transfers
Google operates globally and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the mechanisms Google declares in its own privacy framework, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may also withdraw consent at any time, without that affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these, write to contact@snapcutout.com. In practice, because this site holds almost nothing about you, most requests are resolved by clearing your browser storage, but ask and it will be handled.
If you believe your data has been mishandled you may complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent personal data through the contact form, write in and it will be deleted.
8. Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes (a new ad network, a new form provider), this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes that require consent will ask for it again through the banner.
